Jesse "Inky" Jr.

Jesse Lee Harris Jr. "Inky", a resident of Baton Rouge, went to be with the Lord on Friday February 16, 2018.

Jesse was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and graduate of Istrouma High School. He worked for Ethyl Corporation and later in the grocery business as a Market Manager. Jesse loved fishing, spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He will be dearly missed by all and remembered for his love of life and great sense of humor.

Jesse is survived by son, Troy Harris and wife Lauri; son, Bert Harris and wife Sandy; daughter, Pennie Harris Hardy and husband Josh; brother, Charles Harris and wife Brenda; and 8 grandchildren, Taylor Harris, Hunter Harris, Peyton Harris, Madison Harris, Kayla Harris, Logan Smith, Breanna Hardy and Hayden Harris.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Iris Crumm Harris; Father, Jesse Lee Harris Sr; and Sister, Linda Harris Sanford.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Monday, February 19th from 5 pm until 8 pm and will resume on Tuesday, February 20th from 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Harris, Hunter Harris, Peyton Harris, Hayden Harris, Pep Hill and Ashton Johnson.

The family would like to extend thanks to all friends and family who visited him, including the staff at OLOL, Doctors Moll and Civello; Nurses, Hillary, and Gabi; Carpenter House Staff, Doctor Guillory; Nurses, Trig, Marissa, Steve, Terrance and Shantel who assisted in his care.
