A resident of Baton Rouge and native of Kirbyville, Texas, he died Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Visiting at Jefferson Baptist Church was Thursday, March 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the church Friday, March 19, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Dr. David Goza and the Rev. Larry Badon. Survived by his wife, Linda Smith Bean two daughters, Dina Bean and Melissa Bean a son, Jeffery Bean and friend Michael Smith three sisters, Annie Nell Doughty and husband Billy, Ada Caroline Groins, and Wilma Darlene England and husband Paul two brothers, Frank Kenneth Bean and wife Bernice, and Fred Dalen Bean and wife Jeanie. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lela Bean.
