Jerry Strickland

An equipment warehouse manager for Merit Electrical and Instrumentation, he passed away at his residence on Monday, August 22, 2011 at the age of 60. He was an Army veteran, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Watson. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 6pm until 8pm. Visiting will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 9am until service at 10am. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his mother, Joan Strickland a daughter, April Strickland Hargroder and husband, Jake lifelong friend, Glen Wunstel sisters, Lynnda Pourciau, and Lisa McCarter and husband, Mark brothers, Mike Strickland and wife Jeanne David Strickland and wife, Pat and Dennis Strickland and wife Barbara and by his grand dog, Ellie Shu, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Strickland. He was a loving father and one crazy brother who will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his friends and colleagues at Merit Electrical.
