Jefferie Rogers

Jefferie Lendon Rogers was born on August 4, 1941. He passed away at home surrounded by family. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Jeff was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School, where he excelled as a baseball pitcher. He was an avid sports fan. He also attended LSU. Jeff was a Plant Operator for Ethyl Corporation. He served in the US Army Reserve at Fort Polk, LA. He is survived by his wife, Nelda Braud Rogers. They were united in marriage on February 1, 1963 Three children, Sherry Rogers Timberlake, Michelle Rogers Bickell and husband Scott, and Greg Rogers Five grandchildren, Sean and Jessica Bickell, Hunter and Travis Timberlake, and Caitlyn Rogers and Sister, Lana Rogers Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Augustus Jackson Rogers and mother Irene Hernandez Rogers of Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5 PM until 9 PM and will continue on Friday, January 10 from 9 AM until funeral services at 12 PM.
