Jeanine Cherie Bourg Southern

Jeanine “Cherie” Bourg Southern, born on June 30, 1958, passed away on August 25, 2024, at the age of 66.

Cherie was born in Baton Rouge, LA. After high school, she pursued a career in retail as a sales associate. She was a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church. Cherie enjoyed the beach, her friends, her cats, music, seashells, butterflies, and most of all, her family and grandchildren.

Cherie is survived by her daughter, Corinne Southern; sister, Roxane Bowman; grandchildren, Cecilia Juarez and Noor Altabakhi; and friends, Jennings Babin, Adele Marie Hardin, and Melissa Hardin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ned Bourg and Shirley Bourg Young.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Cathy Daigle, Rami Altabakhi, Luke Collura, Jr., Danny Bevan, Stephen Bowman, and the Banks family.

A graveside service will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on August 31, 2024, at 10:00 AM, officiated by Father Sam Maranto.
