Jeanelle Gautreaux DeLaune

Jeanelle Gautreaux DeLaune a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, surrounded by her family at the age of 95. She was born on January 21, 1929, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Sidney J. and Amy M. Gautreaux.

Jeanelle was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and was a devoted wife and mother. Her greatest joy was her family. Jeanelle was a life member of the National PTA Association, a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and of St. Francis of Assisi Court #1915.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Johnny DeLaune; her parents; her sister, Jeanette G. D’Arensbourg; her brothers, Emmet Gautreaux, Oneal Gautreaux, Sidney Gautreaux and Russell Gautreaux; and her great-great-granddaughter, Blair King.

Jeanelle is survived by her daughters, Deborah Tranchina and husband, Jimmy; Renée Bachaleda and husband, Dennis and Lisa DeLaune; her grandchildren, Jason Ory, Jill Ory, Jon’ Rich, Klayton Rich, Kelli Lee and Haillie Bachaleda; her great-grandchildren, Zackary, Tyler, Dillon, Karley, Cooper, Tyson, Asher, Eva, Kira, Kady, Katelyn, Zachary and Rileigh; her 3 great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Peachie Ragusa; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and funeral service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, beginning at 9:00am until services begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
