Jean Boyett

August 30, 1929 — September 2, 2012

Jean Boyett, native of Lucien, MS and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the age of 83. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 10 am until religious services at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Jean is survived by her children and their spouses, Cathy and Eddie Allen, Tommy and Judy Boyett, and Randy and Donna Boyett one sister, Mary Jo Hardy one brother, Don Byrd nine grandchildren, Richard Waltman, Sarah Hintson, Effie Maranto, Jennie Kile, Carolyn Ray, Jeremy Brown, Chris Brown, Nathan Boyett, and Erin Boyett 19 greatgrandchildren and seven greatgreat grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Norse Boyett daughter, Linda Brown parents, Thomas and Bertha Byrd one sister, Pauline Byrd and two brothers, James and Carol Byrd. Jean was a retired Data Processing Supervisor for Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She and her husband volunteered at Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly in Ridgecrest, NC for 17 years. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff under the direction of Stephanie Marriott at Old Jefferson Community Care Center for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Cardinal Hospice or Compassus Hospice.
