Jay Leidner

July 5, 1936 — February 6, 2011

Our most beloved father and devoted husband passed away at Ollie Steele Burden Manor in Baton Rouge, La on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 8:57am. A retired Vice President and General Manager of Louisiana Land Exploration Company. He was 74 years old and a native of Pensacola, FL and a resident of Baton Rouge, La. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering. Visiting will be in the Chapel at Ollie Steele Burden Manor, 4250 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 1pm until 2pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm, conducted by Rev. Donald Blanchard. Graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida on Friday, February 11 at 2pm. He is survived by his wife, Marie P. Leidner three daughters and sonsinlaw, Ashley L. and Henry Lastrapes, Camille L. and Tom Heap, AnneMarie L. and Ingram Leedy two brothers, Robert L. Leidner, Charles D. Leidner seven grandchildren, Jay, Brent and Camille Lastrapes Brandon and Olivia Heap and Elise and Gram Leedy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernst Jacob and Heloise St. Martin Leidner. He was of the Catholic Faith. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Alzheimers Association, 3717 Government Street, Suite 7, Alexandria, Louisiana 71302.
