Janice Trosclair Sweeney, age 77, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on January 15, 2017.
Janice was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was active in the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce. She was also a former member of Executive Women's International and the Baton Rouge Chorus of Sweet Adelines. Janice cherished her friends from her bridge club and supper club and the wonderful times she spent with them. Janice truly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them at the beach.
Janice is survived by her beloved husband, Carleton Sweeney; her son, Mike Sweeney (Nina); her daughter, Suzanne Keagle (Scott); her son, Bro. Chris Sweeney; her son, Craig Sweeney (Mignon); her grandchildren, Christopher Keagle, Cameron Keagle, Merritt Sweeney, Grant Sweeney, Nathan Sweeney, and Reid Sweeney; her great-grandchildren, Blakeley and Kellen; her sister, Sandy Harrington (Chuck); and her nieces, nephews, and many other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, and her brother, Malcolm Trosclair.
Visiting hours will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy., on Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. Officiant will be Father Donald Blanchard. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
