Janice Barbay

Janice Delanoix Barbay 76, a resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baton Rouge passed away Sunday January 13, 2013 at the Carpenter House. Janice was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to quilt and spend her free time at the local Council on Aging. She is survived by daughters Cheryl Barbay Derfun Gary, Monica Barbay Abshire, Jamie Barbay Scharlau Alvin and Christy Barbay Cook Scott brothers Albert Delanoix, Ernest Delanoix and Maurice Delanoix. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Albert Earl Delanoix, mother Marie Henry Delanoix, daughter Kim Barbay Williams and sister Dorothy Templet. Visitation will be on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday January 16, 2013 from 9:00 am until funeral services at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
