Janet Centofanti

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 11, 2011. She will be known best by all who knew and loved her for her beautiful spirit, her love and dedication to her family, and her unwavering faith. She fought brain cancer for two long years and though our hearts are heavy and we at times are overcome with grief, we know she is now home and is a new person through Christ. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Gonzales. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Sunday, November 13 from 4pm until 7pm. Visiting will resume at Istrouma Baptist Church on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 9am until service at 11am. Burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Centofanti mother, Ethel Novella George daughters, Andrea CentofantiCahill and Elizabeth A. Landry sonsinlaw, Rick J. Landry Jr. and Richard P. Cahill grandchildren, Cameron, Carter, Ian and Avery sister, Penny George brothers, Charles R. George and Clifton George. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald George. Pallbearers are Cameron Heintze, Carter Heintze, Avery Landry, Charles George, Clifton George, Ricky J. Landry Jr., and Richard Cahill. She went to French High School in Beaumont, Texas and to Texas Womens College in Denton, Texas.
