Having placed her faith in Jesus the Christ at a young age, she loved the Lord with all of her heart. She shared her faith and God's plan of salvation with many during her life. She loved our country and the ideals and principles on which it was founded. She was a member of the great generation, persevering through the Great Depression and World War II. She believed in hard work and personal sacrifice for the good of others and for the good of our nation. A loving mother and grandmother, she was committed to her family, sharing in the joy and remaining steadfast in support, offering wisdom and consolation, through the tribulations and sorrows of life. She had a gentle, quiet spirit which is so precious in the sight of the Lord. She was dedicated to the nursing profession, addressing the physical and emotional needs of the many people she cared for. With kindness and tenderness, she strived to ease pain and suffering while maintaining the dignity and respect of the patient. Her compassion extended to animals; she was concerned about their humane treatment. While difficult to express in only a few words, the summation of the life of Jane Ireland Kalivoda is: Christian, patriot, loving mother and grandmother, nurse. She is now in God's loving arms which is the eternal destiny of all who have placed their faith in Jesus for the remission of their sins. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
