James Vernon Williams III, born December 29, 1936, passed away on March 26, 2021 at age 84. A graduate of Istrouma Senior High School in 1956. Joined the United States Marine Corps in August 1956. Married to Janice Murphy Williams for 38 years. He worked at Copolymer Rubber company for 40 years and Neighbor's Federal Credit Union for 10 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and served as Worshipful Master. He is survived by his wife Janice, and his daughters Kelli Williams Turner (Scott), step children Cathy Dunn (Jeff), John Olivier (Ellianna), Rene' Hano (Ray), 10 grandchildren, and 7 greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents J.V. and Wilhemenia Williams, sisters Ina Claire Comeaux and Mary Lou McCain, his daughter Perri Williams Tolar, and his step grandson Joshua Hatfield. Pallbearers are Greg Comeau, Mike Comeau, Andy McCain, John Olivier, Ray Hano, and Zachary Hano. The family wishes to thank Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care of Baton Rouge, and At Home Care of Louisiana. Services to be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on March 30, 2021. Visitation from 12:30 until services at 2:30 with burial to follow.
