"Today you shall be with Me in Paradise". James Singleton, a retired game warden with the LA. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries, died Monday at the age of 86 at his home in Baton Rouge. He loved his family, turkey hunting, gardening, and raising cattle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Singleton; his sisters, Stella Diez and Dorothy "Dottie" Harrell.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathleen Johnson Singleton; a daughter Kathy Bastin and husband Ron Bastin; three sons, James Singleton and wife Franceen, Mark Singleton and wife Janet, Melvin Singleton and wife Kathleen; his brother, Glen Singleton and sister, Johnnie Furnish; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed!

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
