James Meggs

James Elijah Meggs Jim, 65, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2013 at his second home in Baton Rouge, LA. A native of Stillwater, Oklahoma and a resident of Tempe, Arizona. He was a retired Animal ID Coordinator for the state of Arizona. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rebecca Hughes Meggs mother, Marjorie Patchin Meggs of Macon, GA daughters, Heather Lea Stafford and husband Patrick N. Stafford, Jr Heather Shae Pastorek and husband Rick Pastorek and Tammie Dawn Smith sisters, Pat Meggs Nelson of Macon, GA and Jane Meggs New of Coronado, CA and brother, Henry Meggs of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, James E. Meggs, Sr. A memorial service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday May 28th at 12:00 noon with visitation at 11:00 AM.
