James T. Jackson, Jr "Jack", a resident of Baton Rouge, La., a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and retired business owner passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the age of 83 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice surrounded by his loved ones.
Jack was born in New Orleans on November 19, 1934 to James T. Jackson, Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Morrison.
Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irma Lee Booker Jackson; three daughters, Debby J. Gill (Sammy); Lisa J. Lee (Wiley); and Sherri J. Bridges; nine grandchildren, Rachel G. Kojis (Brandon), Shannon G. Landry (Kurt), Amanda L. Bailey (Colley), Jessica L. Dean, Kevin Lee (Taylor), Steven Lee, Britany Webber, Olivia, and Caroline Bridges; two brothers, Harold Jackson (Fran) and Robert "Bobby" Jackson (Mona). He also leaves 11 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Avery, Alex, Vivien, Luke and Collins Kojis, Wyatt Landry, Daisey Dean, Layla and Scarlett Bailey, and Thatcher Lee; along with many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; his father, James Sr.; a son, Richard James Jackson; and a son-in-law, Ashley Garrett Bridges.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven on Thursday, March 22, from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
