James Fendlason

James Jim Hastings Fendlason, a generous, kind, and loving, father, brother, and son, passed away peacefully at his home in Baton Rouge on Friday, January 31, 2014. Jim was born on September 20, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. A celebration of his life will be conducted at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Jim was a longtime resident of the Baton Rouge, CovingtonMandeville areas where he practiced as a Certified Public Accountant, until his retirement in 2012. Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey Hastings Fendlason and James Harding Fendlason, both of Baton Rouge his mother, Joyce Broyles Fendlason, of Poplarville, Mississippi his sisters, Gail Fendlason Ashby of Houston, Texas and Lisa Fendlason Magee of Poplarville, Mississippi one brother, Daniel Broyles Fendlason, of Purcellville, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Leroy James Fendlason, of Covington, Louisiana and Roy Stewart Fendlason, of Poplarville, Mississippi. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Pallbearers will be Scott Magee, Frank Ashby, Caleb Magee, Travis Magee, Mark Kessler, and Daniel Fendlason.
