James Dawson

James L. Dawson, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away October 15, 2018.

He spent much of his life enjoying his passion for playing guitar and performing at events and venues. He had a great love for people and devoted many years of his life to pastoring in Liberty, MS.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Dawson, and his mother Bobbie Dawson Slay. He is also preceded by his first wife, and mother of his daughter, Denise Robertson.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne Browder Dawson, his daughter Kristen (and JR) McBeth of Summit, and his step-son, James Johnson, of Jayess. He is also survived by his sister, Janice (and Roger) Walker of Liberty, and five grandchildren, Kylie Troutman, Micah Troutman, Ashlynn Troutman, Jace McBeth, and Jay Porter.

Visitation will take place at Hartman- Jones Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4 pm until services at 6 pm.
