James Eugene Crosslin
James Eugene Crosslin, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on October 8, 2014, at the age of 79. He was born in Shreveport, LA, on June 19, 1935, to the late Leonard F. Crosslin and Imogene G. Williams.
He graduated in 1953 from Fair Park High School and 1960 from Centenary College with a Degree in Chemistry. He retired from Honeywell in Baton Rouge. He was an avid golfer and sport enthusiast. He was in the Naval Reserve and the US Army during the Korean War serving with the 82th Airborne completing 27 jumps. He was a Specialist 2nd Class when he was honorably discharged.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carlene Janell May Crosslin 4 DaughtersSpouses, Janet Jimmy Seamon, Jennifer Tim Milano, Jeri Scott Bayles, Jamie Ronald Moore grandchildren, SherrySeamon Jarett Rodriguez, MelissaMilano Mark Mayne, Logan Milano, Chelsea, Michael, Mason, Carley, Marshall, Chloe, Maxwell Bayles, TaylorMoore Andrew Reeves, John Michael, Kirby, Rylee Brooks Moore greatgrandchildren, Morgan Rodriguez, Carolynn Mayne brothers, Richard Wilhelmena Crosslin of San Jose, Ca., and Donald Martha Crosslin, Sr. sister Sandra Shelton Wiggins of Shreveport many other nieces and nephews and beloved dog Pierre.
Visitation hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 10:00am until the service at 2:00 pm, conducted by the Rev. Merlin Livermore with burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at OLOL.
