James Remy "Jim"� Broussard, Jr.
James Remy "Jim"� Broussard, Jr. passed away on January 3, 2015, at the age of 71. He was born in New Iberia, LA on November 11, 1943 and moved with his parents to Baton Rouge at the age of 3. He was a graduate of Catholic High School and Louisiana State University. He was retired from Fisher Valve Service Co in Gonzales. Jim was always active in coaching sports, and was always involved with his children's activities. During his retirement he enjoyed playing golf and became a"master"� carpenter, a passion he was truly devoted to. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia; children, Mary Joan B. Swinhoe and husband Art, Remy B. Graves, Patrick Jason, and Jay Michael and wife Devon; grandchildren, David and Justin Rascoe, Codie S. Bryce and husband Ethan, Martie and Shelbie Swinhoe, Austin and Bryce Broussard, Taylor Harvey ; step-granddaughter, Tabetha Goddard and husband Kevin; step-great grandson, Kaiser Goddard; Brothers, Paul A. Broussard and Benjamin Broussard; uncle, Alfred "Smitty" Landry and wife Diane of New Iberia, LA.; niece, Lisa C. Mello; nephew, Michael Castello, and numerous cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Emma Joan L. Broussard and daughter Michelle Renee Broussard.

Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 12:00PM until service time at 2:00PM.
