James Babin, Jr.

A project manager with Excel Construction Maintenance and resident of Gonzales, he died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 62, an Army veteran and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Saturday, Dec. 12, from 1 p.m. until memorial service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Tim Heflin. Survived by a son, James Warren Babin III and wife Kelly. Preceded in death by his father, James Warren Babin Sr.; mother, Beverly Bozeman Babin; sisters, Mary Francis Badeaux and Elosia Babin Louis; and brothers, Ronald Wayne Babin, Justin Donald Babin and Mark Aldridge Babin. He was a graduate of Glen Oaks High School and enjoyed cooking. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ascension Parish Animal Shelter at 9894 Airline Highway, Sorrento, LA 70778
