James Almond

Jeff passed away Sunday May 1, 2016 at his residence at the age of 61. A pipefitter by trade, he was a resident and a native of Port Allen, La. He is survived by his sons, Patrick Almond, wife Heather, and West Almond, wife Mandy; grandchildren, Tyler-Jewel Almond and George West Almond; mother, Helen Almond; sisters, Patti Almond and Jane Brown; and dogs, Lillie and Larry. Followed in death by his father, Pat W. Almond. Jeff was an avid hunter, fisherman, woodman and car enthusiast. In his spare time he loved to restore antique heavy equipment. His passion was his alma-mater Chamberlain Hunt-Academy, Port Gibson, MS. He was a pipefitter for over 30 years and an instructor at ABC Pelican Chapter in Baton Rouge and at BRCC. His presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge LA, 70816, on Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 10:00am until Funeral Service at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
