Jacqueline Hargroder

A native of Pensacola, FL and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Monday Sept 3, 2012, at Old Jefferson Community Care Center. She was 78 years old. The Lord took her home on the same date as her mother 39 years later. She was surrounded by her loving husband and children. She is survived by husband of 57 years, Lee Hargroder Son, Kenneth Hargroder Daughters, Cheryl LeBlanc and husband Taylor, Donna Adams and husband Chuck and Nessa Hartley and husband Pete Grandchildren, Heather, Erin, Jennifer, Blake, Aimee, Jake, Megan, Seth, Ashleigh and Tanner 7 great grandchildren and sisters not by blood but by love, Barbara Kahn Henry, and Helena Meche Duhon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Vivian Scoville Brother, Warren Petty and infant grandson, Little Charles. Lee and Jacqueline were proud members of The Legion of Mary. She will be remembered for her dedication to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, St. Agnes Catholic Church and for her religious beliefs and family morals. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, making her final promises in 1985. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept 5, 2012 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, and will resume at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 450 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge on Thursday Sept 6, 2012 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hargroder, Pete, Jake and Seth Hartley, Taylor and Tanner LeBlanc, Chuck Adams and Blake Cage. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
