Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. Born July 31, 1984, Jacob Joseph Cantelli went to Jesus to be relieved of the burdens and pains of this life on Friday afternoon, May 20, 2011. He now walks in victory with our Lord whole, healed and delivered to begin his new life with new responsibilities for all eternity. He is survived by his mother and father, Kathy Harmon and Sonny Cantelli stepparents, Murry Harmon and Monica Cantelli and siblings, Cara, Lizzy, Angelina and Samuel. Jacob is blessed to have a large extended family that includes numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jacob was born and raised in Baton Rouge. A beautiful and loving child, Jacob attended Christian Life Academy from age 3 to 13. It was here that he met his Savior, Jesus, learned how to study, and began his love for sports. Jacob played football for the Crusaders in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. He went on to attend Woodlawn High School where he started for the Panthers as a defensive tackle all four years. He enjoyed the status of cocaptain his senior year. Jacob also attended LSU, where he majored in biology and business.
