Jackie Bailey

Jackie K. Hamilton Bailey passed away on her 64th birthday, Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. A person who never met a stranger and always wanted to help others, she is now at peace in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Paille. Survived by her husband, Robert Bailey Sr. mother, Effie Roche daughter and the love of her life, Patricia Hamilton sister, best friend and confidant, Eileen Stroughter and her husband, Danny brothers, Jerry Paille and George Paille sister, Colleen Villermarette stepchildren, Gina Ellett, Cristie Hovey and Robert Bailey Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Jackie was a native of Baton Rouge, attended Lee High and worked in various medical and food service jobs during her career before retiring in 2001. A memorial service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Arbie Goings will conduct the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 397039983, or your favorite charity.
