Isabelle Borskey Gascon, Loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and best friend, Belle passed away peacefully on Monday December 17, 2018 in her home in Baton Rouge, LA after a short battle with cancer at the age of 65. She was a proud graduate of Istrouma High School class of 1971. She retired from the business office of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and worked at St. James Place retirement community for many years. Belle’s joy in life was her family especially her 2 children and 8 grandchildren who lovingly called her Belle-Belle. She lived her life to the fullest and left her mark on everyone that she met. Belle enjoyed movies, going to the theater, and listening to live music with friends and family. Belle is survived by her daughter Shawn Kleinpeter Kazmir and husband Kenny “My Boy,” son Ryan Gregory Kleinpeter and wife Tina. 7 grandchildren: Karsyn, Eric, Abbey Belle, Rylin, Kinsley, Owen, and Ryan Jr. Siblings: Shurman G. Borskey and wife Phyllis, Kathy Ringe, James Borskey and wife Elaine, Deanna Landry and husband Gary, Rick Borskey and wife Robyn, Christi Palermo and husband Guy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Belle is preceded in death by grandson Kohen Kleinpeter, parents: Shurman L. Borskey and Myrtle Mary Borskey, siblings: Patricia Borskey Small, Tammy Borskey, and brother-in-law John C. Ringe Jr. Visitation will be on Thursday December 20, 2018 at 9am with a memorial mass immediately following at 10:30am at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in Baton Rouge, LA. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge in the name of Isabelle Borskey Gascon in lieu of flowers. The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, emotional support, generous donations and acts of kindness. Special thanks to Dr. Kovtun and Julie at Mary Bird Perkins and Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge, especially our nurse Jennifer and Ms. Gayle.
