Iris Richard

Strong, kind, passionate and loving are just a few words to describe our amazing mother, grandmother and sister. Iris Richard passed away on January 1, 2018 at St. Joseph Carpenter House. With a passion for life, you could always find Iris with a smile on her face. She was an avid gardener and loved beautiful flowers. She joins the love of her life, Carol, who she missed dearly; her parents, Joe and Ernestine Hebert; and brothers Joe Hebert Jr., Garland Hebert and Larry Hebert, in heaven.

Her family was most important in her life, and with heavy hearts, she leaves behind her children Judy Richard and husband Greg, Randy Richard and wife Lisa; her sister, Ella Bertrand; her sisters-in-law Grace Hebert and Rose Hebert; and her grandchildren Becky Fritter and husband Mike, Joey Richard and wife Leslie, Taylor Richard and wife Madison, Caitlin Richard and fiancé Mike Renard and John Phillip Richard; and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 N Bienvenu St., Church Point until Mass at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Highway 35, Church Point.

We would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Carpenter House and the Pearl at Jamestown for the wonderful care provided to her.
