Inge Alexander

A resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a native of Bockhorn, Germany, she passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the age of 70. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Inge devoted her life to children. She was a childcare provider for 20 years. Survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Louis Lamar Alexander, Sr. one daughter, Amy Austin Mason stepdaughters, Becky Edwards, Debbie Hathcox and husband Jay stepson, Louis Alexander, Jr. sisters, Waltraud, Gisela, Elsbeth and Renate all of Germany brothers, Horst and HansGnther, both of Germany 8 grandchildren, Haley Mason, Katy Thomassie, Noah Edwards, Alex Edwards, Logan Alexander, Raven Alexander, Jacob Hathcox and Caitlin Hathcox and a special daughter, Shanaka BrashierMaggio. Preceded in death by her parents, Gnther and Luise Meyer. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 5 pm8 pm and will resume at the funeral home on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 1 pm until religious service at 2 pm.
