Hugh Corkern, Jr.

Hugh Kassel Corkern, Jr., age 73, native of Franklinton, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at his residence.

He was survived by his daughter, Michelle Rawls and husband Nathan of Central, LA; sons, Christopher Corkern and wife Lauren of Central, LA, and Justin Corkern of Central, LA; grandchildren, Charles Rawls, Katherine Corkern, Alexander Corkern, and Hannah Rawls; sisters, Dixie Vaughn of Lacombe, LA, Leah Davis and husband Paul of Baton Rouge, LA, and Suzanne Staid of Baton Rouge, LA; and brother, Richard Corkern and wife Laverne of Franklinton, LA.

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Kassel Corkern, Sr. and Geraldine Beard Corkern; niece, Stephanie Corkern; and nephew, Johnny Vaughn.

A memorial celebration will be held at the Sunlight Baptist Church Hall at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2016 Lunch will be provided for guests.
