H.L. Watkins

A retired barber and partner with his son Darin of Watkins and Williams Stucco, he died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at 12:55 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 67 and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, April 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes Wednesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Bobby Dale Callendar. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memories. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia L. Watkins daughter, Dana Watkins McKearn and husband Joe son, Darin L. Watkins and fiance Marcy Bienvenue two brothers, Larry Watkins and wife Micki, and Gary Watkins many nieces and nephews and beloved bulldog, Mugsy. Preceded in death by his parents, Hascal D. and Elsie Mae Watkins. He loved boating, hot rods and blues music. He lived life to the fullest.
