Hilda Cruthirds

Hilda Monroe Cruthirds,
native of Bogalusa, LA, previously of Baton Rouge, LA, and at time of death resided in Gonzales, LA, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 surrounded by family at her residence. She was an active member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church and was active in Stephen Ministries.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Zingrebe and husband Kenneth, and Patricia McGrew and husband Michael son John David Cruthirds grandchildren, Patrick Pace and wife Janet, John McGrew, Thomas McGrew, Holly McGrew Steed and husband Kevin, and Michael McGrew and wife Lori ten great grandchildren one greatgreat grandchild sister, Mary Zwez and numerous nieces and nephews. Hilda is preceded in death by her parents Marion B. Monroe, Jr. and Isabella Welday, husband John W. Cruthirds, two sisters, and two brothers.

Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting will continue at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 8833 Goodwood Blvd., on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at St. Lukes Episcopal Church with Father Bryan Owen officiating. Interment and Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm in Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA.

Pallbearers are Patrick Pace, John McGrew, Thomas McGrew, Robert Pollock, Randy Zwez, and Nathan Scott. Honorary Pallbearers are Devin Bennett, Kevin Steed, Michael McGrew, Caleb McGrew, and Preston Parker.
