Herman Thibodeaux, Jr.

August 16, 1941 — May 27, 2011

Herman Edward Thibodeaux, Jr., also known as Mouse, died peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10:05 p.m. at the Baton Rouge General Hospital, Bluebonnet campus. He was 69 years old and a resident of Ethel, LA. He was born in 1941 in White Castle, LA to Herman Edward Thibodeaux, Sr., and Gladys Marie Daigle Thibodeaux both of White Castle, LA.
He is survived by his loving and adorning wife of 47 years, Carol Joffrion Thibodeaux, and 5 children Scott Thibodeaux and wife Camille of Houma, LA., Stan Thibodeaux of Clinton, LA., Stacey Thibodeaux Zeringue and husband Scott Zeringue, of Lafayette, LA, Stephanie Thibodeaux, of St. Francisville, LA, and Shannon Thibodeaux Roberts and husband Jesse Roberts, III, of Ruston, LA a legacy of 21 grandchildren including 1 great grandchild 3 brothers, Kirby Thibodeaux of Port Allen, LA Terry Thibodeaux, of Baton Rouge, LA, and Keith Thibodeaux of Brusly, LA and a host of devoted friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Edward Thibodeaux, Sr., and Gladys Marie Daigle Thibodeaux and inlaws Ray Herman Joffrion, Sr and Carolyn Laville Joffrion. Herman was known by most as an avid sportsman, a diehard LSU fan, and a Scaffolding icon. He was known by his family as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a selfless man who dedicated his life to hard work and sacrifice in order to provide his family and loved ones with a life of love, comfort, and endless blessings. His legacy will live on through the countless individuals whose lives he has touched. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home at 11817 Jefferson Highway, in Baton Rouge, LA on Thursday, June 2 from 5 pm to 9 pm and on Friday, June 3 from 8 am to 11 am. A private memorial service will be held at the family farm in Ethel, LA. Because there will be no graveside service, donations can be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
