A native of Clayton and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 77, retired from Nichols Construction and a member of Local 406 Operating Engineers. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by Ian Shaw, pastor. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two daughters, Cheryl Cannon and Rita Green; former wife, Agnes Coward; three sisters, Lola Boles, Lucy Williams and Sussie Randall; two brothers, Monroe R. Randall and wife Julia, and Allen W. Randall and wife Edith; seven grandchildren, Thomas David and wife Andre, Christal Hudson, Michael Randall and wife Ninette, Randall Waldron and wife Sommer, Michele Mesa and husband Michael, Jennifer Cannon Murff and husband Justin, and Kristan Randall; 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar E. and Emma J. Randall, two sisters, Mattie Clark and Lillian Hemphill; and brother, J.D. Randall. Pallbearers will be Randall Waldron, William Melancon, Jessie Randall, Wesley Randall, Joshua Napoli and T.J. Severio.
