Henry Heltz

November 15, 1926 — December 27, 2020

Henry Andrew Heltz, Sr., a native of Livingston and a resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 94.

Henry was a retired Lieutenant with Louisiana State Police.  He also worked in Egypt and the Philippines with Dixielyn Oil Company.  He also retired as an aide to Senator Russell B. Long for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lorraine Neff Heltz; son, Henry A. “Andy” Heltz, Jr.; grandson, Christopher Walton Waymire; parents, Bertha and Joseph Heltz; sister, Lully Sanchez; and son-in-law, James E. Waymire.

He is survived by his daughter, Connie Heltz Waymire; granddaughter, Allison Heltz; grandsons, Danny and Andy Heltz III, and Joshua Waymire; and numerous great-grands and great-great-grands.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Special thanks to his “nurse relative”, great-granddaughter, Katelyn Garcia Ricks, and great-granddaughter, Madalyn Waymire; special friends, Thomas and Sharon Levert, Debbie Poirrier, and Dr. Zachary Bruce.
