Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather. Henry Bill Davis, 93, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013. A resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a native of McComb, MS. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Coastguard during WWII, owner of BJ Tours and Charters, a Shriner, and a dedicated retiree of the Illinois Central Railroad where he served 40 years. Bill loved motorcycles and cars. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Jo Shirley Vick Davis three daughters, Shirley Fisher and husband Tommy, Billie Gelpi and husband Carey, and Mary McLeod and husband Alvin two sons, George Davis and wife Terri, and Dan Davis and wife Donna seven grandchildren, Carey Gelpi, Jr. Megan Aubrey, Casey McLeod, Joshua Davis, Nicole Young, Amanda South, and Kristen McLeod and ten greatgrandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Louise Davis three brothers and six sisters. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 5 pm until 8 pm and will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 12 noon until funeral service at 2 pm.
