Henry Buddy Apperson, Jr., native of West Point, MS and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away at 1 pm on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, at the age of 64. He was a retired band director. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 11 am until service at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Dale Hoffpauir. Private inurnment at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, LA. He is survived by his wife, Liz R. Apperson daughter and soninlaw, Megan Apperson Percy and Adam C. Percy two sons, John Apperson and Brian Apperson one step son, Charlie Young sisters, Priscilla Berry and husband Omer, Mary Belfanti and husband Mike one brother, George Apperson and wife Genie four grandchildren, William, Ian, and James Percy, and Noah Franklin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry M. Apperson, Sr. and Eloise C. Apperson first wife, Jenny Dupre Apperson. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and Broadmoor United Methodist Church. He was a longtime member of the Baton Rouge Concert Band and an alumni of the University of Southern Mississippi.
