A resident of Baton Rouge, Helen S. Wingard passed away into the glory of her Savior at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009. She was born on Dec. 1, 1921, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the child of George and Elsie Schreiner. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Feb. 20, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Religious service in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Wayne King. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two sons, Michael and Brian Wingard and their wives, Barbara and Dorothy; granddaughter, Mrs. Sarah Coulter; grandson, Matthew Wingard; and two great-grandchildren, Devlyn and Tristan Coulter. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ernest Wingard, and beloved first cousin, Lawrence E. Schreiner. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
