Helen enjoyed the simple things in life, but being with family was her greatest pleasure. She looked forward to visits from her family and friends, which always brought her such joy. Her loving brother, Jay, was a faithful, loyal visitor, and her lifelong friend and confidant. Her time with her son, Sonny, was what she looked most forward to these last several years. They shared a mother-son bond that was a beautiful gift to them both. Helen had a kind and generous heart and enjoyed blessing others. She gave from her heart, which her recipients knew was a genuine gift. She was eager and ready to be with her Lord and Savior. She found great comfort in her favorite song, “The Old Rugged Cross,” which her caregivers sang for her many times, even during the night. Helen missed her loving son, Robin. She looked forward to a heavenly reunion with him and her sweet man, Walter, and family. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
