A resident of Lake Sherwood Village retirement facility for seven years, she died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at age 93. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Feb. 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 12:30 p.m. until Mass at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum in Holmdel, N.J. She is survived by two sons, Robert Edward Howerter and wife Maria Peham Howerter, of Baton Rouge, and Edward Dennis Howerter and wife Barbara Anne Howerter, of Danvers, Mass. a sister, Stasia Russo, of Fort Meyers, Fla. grandchildren, Derek Howerter and fiance Stephanie Vaughn, Kim Howerter and husband Jim Richie, Amy Howerter Parson and husband Damien Parson, Dennis Paul Howerter, and Laurie Anne Howerter greatgrandchildren, Brianna Howerter, Brooke Howerter, Alayna Parson, Caden Howerter Richie, Angel Howerter, Alex Howerter, and Eva Howerter and stepgrandchildren, Ashlyn Vaughn and Victoria Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Howerter two brothers, Joseph Toeofil Syzdek and Leon Anthony Syzdek two sisters, Marie Helena Syzdek and Anna Francis Syzdek parents, Stanislaw Syzdek and Veronica Kowalski Syzdek and grandson, Steven Michael Howerter.
