Helen Nichols Green met her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 08, 2015. She was a native of DeRidder, Louisiana and longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Helen was devoted to her family, and especially loved fishing and traveling with her late husband, Richard. Helen's church family and Sunday School class were special to her, as was keeping babies in the nursery. She worked many years at Goudchaux's in the ladies' designer department. She was a charter member of CrossPoint Baptist Church.
Helen is survived by daughter, Leslie Jan Noble and husband Jesse; son, Peter Lee Green and wife Stacy Furlow Green; three grandchildren, Alyssa Green Dryden, Jane Helen Noble, and Joshua Taylor Green, and great-grandson, Holden Dryden; sisters, Joy Hudson and Mae Presley.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Warren Green; parents, Thomas and Jimmie Nichols; brothers, Lee Nichols and Wallace Nichols; sisters, Floye Herrington, Alice Ruth Cunningham, and Mary Lois Dameron.
Visitation will take place at CrossPoint Baptist Church, 14965 Airline Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70817, on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 10 AM until service time. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, officiated by Pastors Nick Taylor and Byron Townsend. Interment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
