Helen Castilaw,
a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Tuesday, November 18th, 2014, at the age of 87. She loved to laugh and joke, play games, fish, crochet, and spend time with her family. Purple was her favorite color and crawfish etouffee her favorite food. She loved her three dogs dearly.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Castilaw and Christine Brooks her beloved soninlaw, Roy Brooks grandchildren, Ben Palliser and wife Katie, Janna Palliser and husband Jesse Sargent greatgrandchildren, Zoe and Henry Rascal Palliser and Sofia Sargent and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl David Mack Castilaw parents, John and Clara Zumo brothers, John and Warren Zumo and sister, Shirley Wallace.
Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, November 21st, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 22nd, 2014, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 PM. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory will follow the service.
