Harvey William Pryor was born on April 15, 1924, in Moundsville, West Virginia, to Goldie Walters Pryor and Elic Frank Pryor. He passed away on April 6, 2021, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by two grandchildren, Charles Pryor (Tshering) of Prairieville, Louisiana, and Veronica Deville (Brandon) of Geismar, Louisiana; four great-grandsons: Jude Alexander Deville, Gavin Ezra Deville, Silas Drake Deville, and Grayson Soenam Jess Pryor; daughter-in-law Diana Pryor of Baton Rouge, sister Emily Mayer of Wheeling, West Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard Jess Pryor, his beloved wife of 61 years Wilda (Borst) Pryor, and his two sons, Jess Henry Pryor and Roger Glen Pryor. Harvey worked in a variety of places before settling in for the long haul with Allied Chemical. The job took him from Wheeling to Buffalo twice and back before sending him to the Geismar, LA plant in 1976, and he never looked back! Harvey was a devout Christian, an avid golfer, and a strong family man, who was never without a story to tell and an infectious curiosity and enthusiasm for life. Special thanks and gratitude to close family friend, Bart Lessard, as well as to the good folks at Williamsburg Senior Living Community for making the past 4 years a party.
