Harry Roy LeBlanc, 88, resident of Denham Springs and native of Baton Rouge, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at The Carpenters House of St. Josephs Hospice in Baton Rouge surrounded by his family. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, March 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at Resthaven chapel on Saturday, March 3, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., with burial following. Pallbearers will be Jeff Scott, Tommy Lemmings, Glenn LeBlanc, Billy Brunet, Jay Hayden and Ryan LeBlanc. Harry was a combat veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Force as a tailgunner aboard a Bltbomber, flying 30 missions over Germany between June 1944 and January 1945. He was retired from Texaco Inc., where he worked in Baton Rouge and Port Arthur, Texas. In retirement, he worked for Sullivan Oil, Brunets Cajun Restaurant and Power Cleaning Specialists. Survived by two daughters, Paulette Theriot, of Pineville, and Eva LeBlanc, of Baton Rouge a son, Kerry W. LeBlanc and wife DAaron, of Baton Rouge. grandchildren, Laci Sowder and husband Jerry, of Washougal, Wash., Glenn LeBlanc and wife Rachael, of Gonzales, Holly Stingel of Savannah, Ga., Danielle Hagge and husband Brian, of Bamberg, Germany, Stephanie LeBlanc, of Batesville, Ark., Ryan LeBlanc, of Denham Springs, and Kristen LeBlanc, of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by parents, Randolph and Eva LeBlanc wife, Helen White LeBlanc brother, Reymond LeBlanc and son, Henry Allen LeBlanc. Harry never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was always the life of the party and was a very sharp dresser. He loved to barbecue and made the best pralines ever. We sincerely thank all his friends who spent time with him and watched over him, especially Tommy and Becky, Jeff and Tina. He will truly be missed.
