A native of Sorrento, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, he retired as Captain for the East Baton Rouge City Police after 30 years of service. Paul also retired as Sr. Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force where he proudly served in the 236 Combat Communications Squadron. He received a Bachelors degree in History from Louisiana State University in 1976 and enjoyed many hobbies such as golf, fishing, LSU sports, reading, gospel music and being a Sunday School teacher and choir member for Florida Blvd. Baptist Church. A longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Air Force Association, American Legion Post 38 and the Marine Corp League. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gwen Morgan Lambert 5 daughters, Cindy and husband Tim Griner of Thomasville, GA, Andrea Kling and Melanie King of Folkston, GA, Kim and husband Scott Cummings of Watson, LA, and Larissa Lambert of Greenwell Springs, LA son, Scott and wife Brenda Lambert of Folkston, GA 14 grandchildren six greatgrandchildren sister, Bobbie Ann Lambert and two brothers, Howard and wife Mary Lambert, and C.J. and wife Phyllis Lambert. Preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow P. and Laura Guedry Lambert brother, James Lambert and son, Brent Paul Lambert. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 5 pm until 8 pm and will resume on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 10 am until funeral service at 12 noon officiated by Rev.
