Native of New Orleans, LA, longtime resident of Chalmette, and a resident of Baton Rouge for the last six years, passed away on November 3, 2012 at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Myrna Kimball Kelt sons, Harold Kelt III and wife Dawn Achee, Stephen Kelt and wife Leslie Satter, and Donald Kelt daughter, Brenda Kelt grandchildren, Season Kelt Johnson and husband Spence, Sunshine Brousette, Summer Donnell, Jordan Kelt, and Zachary Kelt great grandchildren, Madison Donnell, Camden Johnson, and Addison Johnson sisters, Doris Cusimano, Shirley Boudreaux, Gloria Dibos and husband Bill, Beverly Samuel, and Audrey Cortez brother, Richard Kelt brotherinlaw, Jeffery Kimball and wife Linda Musmeci. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Kelt Sr and Eleanora Scavo Kelt brother, Douglas Kelt, sisterinlaw, Janet Kelt, sisterinlaw Marilyn Napolitano, brotherinlaw Phillip Napolitano. Harold is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and served during the Korean conflict. He was also known for his numerous business endeavors but mostly known for his work in the family restaurant and ice company, owner of the Reggio Boat Launch and was a member of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association.
