H. Hallin

July 4, 1935 — September 28, 2011

A retired senior vice president and treasurer of Maison Blanche and CFO of Starmont Insurance, he died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, of pancreatic cancer and Parkinsons. He was 76, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Minneapolis. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., on Monday, Oct. 3, from 12:30 p.m. until service at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Deacon Richard Grant. Private inurnment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Judith J. Hallin daughters, Christine Draughn, of Cypress, Texas, and Laura Mumber and husband Dr. Matthew Mumber, of Rome, Ga. son, Timothy Hallin, of Baton Rouge sister, Gloria Anderson, of Plano, Texas and five grandchildren, Catherine Draughn and Thomas Draughn, both of Cypress, and J.T. Mumber, Samson Mumber and Marcus Mumber, all of Rome. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Amelia Hallin. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Hunt, James Saxton, James Malecki and Joe Bristol. He was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School, Minneapolis, and the University of Minnesota. He served on the board of Sandestin Bayside Condominium Association for 18 years. He loved golf and was a member of Sherwood Forest Country Club for many years.
