She worked tirelessly taking care of her husband and sons, she had a tremendous love for others and a heart of gold. Gwen enjoyed many years of camping and participating in activities with her sons, husband, and grandchildren. She loved bird watching and could tell you all about many of the birds in our area. Butterflies were favorites of hers as well, and she always looked forward to the Monarch migration in the fall making several trips over the years to the beaches of the Gulf Coast to see the migration. She was a model mother and wife and could mend anything and cook anything, and make it taste good!  In short Gwen was a selfless person always caring for others. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.  Visiting will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with recitation of the rosary at 6:30pm.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Greenwell Springs, LA at noon, officiated by Rev.
