A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, with his family at his side. He was 80 and a native of Chicago. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lee McKinzie. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Survived by his daughters, Nancy Fisher Lemoine and husband Marcel, Baton Rouge, and Susan Fisher Windley and husband Scott, Alexandria, Va. and five grandchildren, Madeline Eads Lemoine, Mary Grace Lemoine, Sarah Anne Windley, Hannah Ranae Windley and Andrew Scott Windley. He is also survived by a brother, Frank and his wife, Michiko, Cape Canaveral, Fla. Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Eads Fisher. He was a graduate of New Trier High School, Chicago, and Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he had a very successful track career. He served in the U.S. Air Force and later became one of the founders of Piping and Equipment Inc. In his day, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching all sports, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs. For many years, he enjoyed visiting with friends at Sherwood Forest Country Club and with the Monday Lunch Bunch. He was a man of strong conviction, but had a soft heart for his friends and family.
