Gustaf Nordstrom, Jr.

A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009. He was 76 and a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Laura S. Nordstrom; a daughter, Michele Aubert and husband Paul; a son, Trey Nordstrom; two sisters, Billie Jean Odom and husband Leonard, and Mary Anina Slocum and husband Larry; and six grandchildren, Nicholas Nordstrom, Brandy Hennings and husband Mike, Peyton Nordstrom, Kendall Nordstrom, Melissa Decker, and Rachael Devall and husband Jason. Preceded in death by his parents, Gus Sr. and Arline Nordstrom. He loved to fish and hunt and was an avid LSU fan.
