Gregory Short

He was murdered and taken from his loving family and friends on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the age of 23. Son of John F. Short, Jr. and Catherine Savage Brindley , and stepson of Nancy Blanchard Short and Richard B. Brindley. He leaves behind his loving parents along with his precious daughter, Isabella Grace Harrell and her mother, Peyton Harrell fianc, Kimberly G. Hatfield siblings, John F. Short III, Alexandra C. Friloux, Madison G. Short stepbrothers and stepsisters, Cassie F. Paille, Justin R. Fowler, Cory A. Brindley, Samantha P. Brindley, Charles Charlie J. Taylor, Peyton G. Bennett grandparents, Jim and Gail Crysup, Hellen E. Bonin and Malcom H. Savage uncles and their spouses, David Short and Lindsey Horn, Malcolm and Kay Savage, and Barry Blanchard aunts and their spouses, Connie and Kevin Romageura, Carolyn Jones, Monica and Nacin Termine, and Sabrina and Ray Gawthorp numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his grandfather, John F. Short, Sr. and uncle, Fred Jones. Greg served in the United States Marine Corps for two years. He graduated from Millerville Academy and was a former student at Southeastern Louisiana University. Greg lived life to the fullest and was a great friend to many. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 12 noon until religious service at 3 pm.
